Internet Shopping
My youtube - click here.
I posted this video up on my much neglected youtube channel today showing you all the things that popped through my letterbox. I enjoy filming as I can record days out which is always lovely to look back on, and it's a lot easier for demonstrations as well handy for when I've been shopping and I have a lot of items to show. On the other hand the youtube community is notorious for soul destroying comments so I'll always disable them, but then I miss that whole aspect too, as I love hearing your opinions on things and getting to know you guys. I also never know what should go on my blog and what should go on my youtube, so from now on (at least for now) this is how I'm rolling. I'll be using youtube for recording days out, things I've bought shopping, demonstrations and tags. I'll be keeping this blog for topics close to my heart, whether that be posts on friendship, boyfriends, self confidence, weight and many other subjects. I'll also keep up the usual product reviews, my bargain buys and anything else on my mind :).
ANYWAY. As I mentioned in my video the lovely Yvonne, a fellow blogger, has set up a new blog called Snow Parfait which sells accessories and jewellery. I'd imagine it is quite hard starting from scratch to build up a brand, so please support her if you like her items. She has some great incentives like free shipping in the UK and she also is providing free gifts at the moment if you spend over £10. If you don't live in the UK she sends internationally too, just email her and she'll arrange it. Everything is through paypal so that the transaction will be secure...NOT that I'm saying she's shady but it's just a nice bit of reassurance isn't it?
Here are the prices of everything I got, all super cheap:
Hello Kitty Bag: £2.49
Eyelashes: £2.99
Storage box: £3.99
Ring: £2.99
Let me know if you have any blog shop recommendations! My favourite for jewellery is Nicole, and for blog sales it's Emma.
Hope you're all well

P.S Howdy to all the new people who have stumbled on my blog
P.P.S My blogger is being weird and adds links randomly to words in my posts now which I haven't selected to add links to. No idea why, any tech savvy girls know?

Girls Day Out #2
Hello lovely ladies!
How are you all? I feel so out of the "blogging loop" at the moment, I'm swamped with Uni work and have been spending so much time trying to meet deadlines. I know, woe is me ;).
| Emily and me :) |
I've just came back from a bloggers event so I thought I'd tell you all about that! Blogging events are great if you want to meet other girls with similar interests, but often these events are held down south and I don't have a car/spondoolas, so I'll usually have to take a miss.
Still I've already met other bloggers twice now, most recently I met Emma in Leeds which was fab as she is such a lovely girl. Previously in the summer I did find one blogging event happening in Newcastle but sadly I had to leave early and I didn't really get a chance to hang out properly. I seen that Katie was hosting a meet up in Newcastle so I met up with Emily (a total sweetheart btw) and we headed down together to Grey Hotel.
| Brigitte, Claire and Bryden |
The actual place was really swanky, and Katie who arranged the entire thing was so friendly. She'd put together goody bags for everyone which was so nice of her, and massively exciting seeing what was inside. I treat myself to a cheeky vodka diet coke and settled in for a natter. Everyone who came was lovely and I would definitely meet up with everyone again. I took a few snaps but Katie managed to get them of everyone (I think) and I'm sure she'll post about the event if you wanted to see who else came along.
So here's a list of all the girls who came if you want to check out some blogs from the North!
(Sorry I can't remember everyone names but I'll try to get everyone up here eventually!)
- Emily
- Katie
- Teresa
- Brigette
- Clare
And thank you to all the companies who provided goodies:
-Batiste Hair
-Blink Brow Bar
- Blistex
- Boux Avenue
-Burts Bees
- Grey Street Hotel
- Meaningful Beauty
- National Trust
-Pro Activ
- Sheer Cover
- Tipsy Feet
For anyone who is thinking of attending blogging events, I really recommend them. They're a great way to meet new people with similar interests. It's a bit scary at first but usually everyone is in the same boat!

Cutey Bracelet
Hey everyone! A quick review on an up and coming brand called Cutey. They sell tons of different bracelets and I was instantly drawn to the Keres Bracelet as I love the colours. It was £12.99 with free delivery and it arrived very quickly to my door. I do really like it but sadly I cannot wear it as it's way too big for my tiny wrists! I'll probably give this to my sister for that reason. Overall I would recommend this bracelet but I'd make sure to take note of the sizing before you do so.

Review: Babyliss Wave Envy
This is where the Babyliss Wave Envy comes in. This one is a hybrid between the typical crimper and a tong (a tool I feel a lot more comfortable with) which was more appealing to me than other models.
The Babyliss Wave Envy created more of a messy 'beachy' look in my hair an effect which I thought was a lot Olsen-esque compared to my normal tongs. This bad boy is pretty much fool proof too, lots of my friends struggle with my hair tongs, but this is a case of sectioning off your hair, placing it the clamp and that's it! It was also a lot quicker as the crimper is so big, I could do my whole hair in five sections, holding the barrel for 10 or so seconds. It heated up really quickly which is great if you're in a rush.

I like the effect, but I still personally prefer a loose curl even if it does take longer. I really like the crimper as a tool, it's very efficient and easy to use... I'm just not sure if I like this hair style on me. Maybe I'm just getting used to it still, what do you guys think?

You can buy the Babyliss Wave Envy for £39.07 at Tesco Direct.

Zalando Cardigan
My cosy cardigan I recently got from Zalando for £25. I don't think this would last more than a season but since it's cheap I don't really mind. If you're looking for durability this isn't the cardi for you, but if you want something warm, slouchy and thick this is a good buy. I'm a size 10-12 so got mine in medium, but honestly I could have done with a small so keep that in mind!

Shopping: Miss Selfridge, Poundland and Superdrug
Hey guys
Links to everything I bought in case it tickles your fancy:
- Red slouch satchel bag
- HELIX twist sandal
- South Lane watch (although this one is acting more as a warning than anything!)
- Cardigans both sold out on website now but I found a million of them in store!
- Hairband and ring also now off website but tons instore
- CCUK powder
- Stiletto mascara
- Cream peroxide for hair
- Powder bleach for hair (works out more cost efficient to buy the two seperately than in a box together)

Teeth Whitening Review
Hello lovely ladies,
![]() |
| Yep, I don't suit my hair up at all |
Today I'm going to be posting about a teeth whitening kit I received about a month ago. Even though I look after my teeth really well, they have always been a bit dull looking and something I've been self conscious of. I tried Crest White Strips in the past but they always fell off my teeth half way through, and the '5 minute Teeth Whitening' didn't seem to work at all and was AGONY even after weeks of using it. As a last attempt on my quest for those pearly whites I decided to try out a kit from Mint Cosmetics UK.
The kit is £69.99 reduced from £124.99 and looked like this:
It really reminds me of the Glossy box packaging and to me looks very sleek and professional.
This is what it looked like inside. It comes with an instructional DVD, mouth guards and a box to store them in, four syringes of 6% Hydrogen Peroxide whitening solution (equivalent to 18% Carbamide Peroxide gels which is what my Newcastle dentist quoted at £300) and a teeth whitening pen.
I whipped out the DVD first so I would know 100% what I was doing. The tutorial was really helpful and showed me how to mould the mouth guards to the shape of my teeth. Basically you dip them in boiling hot water so they're half melted, wait 8 seconds (so you don't burn your gums) and then place them on your teeth.
It took a few gos to get them just right but you can always just dip then back in some hot water again if you make a mistake. These were great as they fit my teeth perfectly and meant that solution wasn't running all over the place. I've had some professional guards made at the dentists before and they are super expensive (like £160) and whilst the Mint Cosmetic ones are not as sturdy, they definitely do the job just as well and at a fraction of the price.
I wore them with solution in 1-2 times a day for 40 minutes depending on how busy I was (2 times a day is the best for quick results though). This is a close up of my teeth so you can get a good idea of how effective the whitening was. I tried to take photos in the same lighting at the same time of day so they were as realistic as possible. I'm really happy with the results and would definitely recommend this kit.
The pros of this kit: The solution is 6% Hydrogen Peroxide which is the highest % allowed for cosmetic purposes (yep, this bitch did her research) so you know you're not getting the usually cheaper, weaker and therefore less effective solutions. Another positive is it has a shelf life of two years which is great if you wanted to keep the last syringe for top ups every few months as I plan to use it. There's also a 28 money back guarantee for peace of mind so you can't really go wrong!
The cons: As with every product known to man there was some cons to the product, although the positive vastly outweighed them. I did have some side effects which I shall warn you about now. My teeth were very sensitive and painful when I began the treatment (which has happened with every whitening treatment I've ever used). This did subside and I felt no sensitivity after a week, other than when I missed two days, as my teeth got used to the solution once again. Finally, the pen didn't really work out for me unlike the whitening solution syringes which I thought were great. The pen tasted funky and I seen no difference in my teeth, although perhaps a more obvious difference would have been apparent if I had quite severe staining. Even though I seen no difference on the night looking back at photos when I used the pen my teeth do look especially white. I think the pen is great to use for special occasions if you don't mind the taste!
Overall I would definitely recommend this kit as I've been self conscious about my teeth for a while (as you can see from this very old post a year ago!)

Wahanda.com
Hello everyone!
Today I'm going to be telling you all about a fab website which specialises in providing amazing deals on spa breaks throughout the world. With the gloomy weather it's nice to treat yourself, but as we all know spa treatments can be pretty expensive splurges! However Wahanda provides amazing deals, offers and vouchers for tons of different locations, and the huge discounts mean you can escape to a hotel for as little as £50, sleep overnight and receive a luxurious treatment. On the other hand, if you're just after something quick in your local area, you can use the map to locate a spa closer to home, and take advantage of the discounts there!
In the past I have had bad experiences with certain places, but have been unable to leave a review anywhere on the website, so I couldn't warn off other customers at all. However Wahanda is great because you're able to share your experiences, and also choose your own spa break accordingly! With all the usual Christmas stress, a spa break will be a great escape and will also having you looking fabulous for all those parties! I've always wanted to get a massage or something like a manicure so I think I will book something like that closer to Christmas. What do you guys recommend?
