National Holidays Mystery Weekend

So as you can see from my last Vlog I was super excited for my coach trip away this weekend. We had no idea where we were going...and guess where we ended up? Barnsley! Pahaha. We just went there a few months ago (clicky here)  before Christmas for present shopping. I'd have preferred to have gone somewhere new that I hadn't been before but I had a good time at Barnsley last time so I was still excited.

Me and Mam
Brogan and Jill

So the four of us (Me, my Mam, my sister Brogan and Jill - a friend) set off for four hours at Barnsley market. We had a look round all the shops and I bought a bag and scarf from Dorothy Perkins.
Barnsley

It was really nice and sunny which was lovely and we eventually chilled in the cafe we went to last time. Of course we couldn't leave without some mishap so Brogan managed to accidentally break a chair (?!) which I'm sure left a great impression! Haha.

Our view. Hollaaa
We then went to our hotel which was like an hour away in the middle of nowhere :'). Not even a pub nearby! The food was so good, if a little hard, but HEY we are on the cheapest holiday known to man and they must have been resisting an urge to just throw the food all over the entire coach crew. I ordered a salad for starters, fish and mash for dinner and fruit cocktail for tea so fairly healthy go me!

Fish and mash :)

Hotel restaurant

We were chilling in the dining area chitchatting though, when the waiters VERY SUBTLY started turning off all the lights where we were sitting to hurry us up to bed. Hint much? And it was only 10:20pm - we're not talking a crazy time here. Still we were super tired since we had such an early start and we soon went to bed.

I had an awful sleep though because 1) My Mam snores like a huge animal with asthma that has been tranquilised 2) I accidentally turned the heating to full so we both kept waking up with a huge urge to vom... Urgh I hate that feeling 3) The beds were made for munchkin people - I'm only 5"2 and my feet hung over the bed! And we had to get up at 7am ohhhh dearrr.

"The Heights of Abraham"

After a breakfast buffet we jumped on the coach to our next destination. It was supposed to be Meadow hall as it was last time, but as the shops were closed we went to the Peak District which was amazing!
Look at how high up it was!

I faced my fear of heights and went on a cable car which I nearly shat myself on (not literally...). It was so freaking scary! The views were stunning though and we also went on an underground mining tour which was fun.

Mines

After going there we then went to Bakewell (where they make the tarts!) and walked along the river and fed the ducks. Or at least that was the plan, the ducks were so well fed though they were just like mehhh and couldn't be assed to move haha.

Ohhhh I almost forgot this, we had lunch at a pub in Bakewell, and just after we ordered we noticed flies in the vinegar. Nomnomnom -.-. Extra nutrition?

Clothing Haul/OOTD

Hiii :) ok so I know that I just showed a beauty haul... and I now have a clothing haul. Sheeeeeeshhhh. I've been going out so much lately as well that I might have to turn to prostitution in order to sustain my lifestyle haha. I wanted to show you what the clothes look like on, but since I have no common sense even with a tripod you will have to put up with my botch attempts.

I bought this lurvely knitted cape in the sales at h&m for £15. It's so baggy and comfy I could live in it.

To equal it out though I wore it with this skirt also from H&M which is only £3.99 and such a great basic. The sizing is fairly roomy btw, so I would try on before you buy!

Accessories wise I teamed it with this long gold heart necklace from Dorothy Perkins. It's still in shops now but I can't remember the price at all sorry!

I also got these bracelets from H&M (noticing a pattern...) for I think £3.99, and this ring from Claires Accessories (pah as if I went in a shop made for girls *shifty look*) in a sale for £4.

Finally I wore black tights and these shoes which I got from a brand called Deichmann for a sweet £17. They are so masculine but I think they tone down my girly outfits nicely :)

I wore all the above together but here are the other random things I got on the day:

This silver plated necklace from BHS for £14. The photo does not do it justice!

I also got these brown sandals for £7.99 at TJ Hughes to go with dresses in summer.

...and this stretch belt from Peacocks
And finally these weird things that you put in with your clothes to make them smell all pretty 5 for £1 at Blushers. Phew!

Beauty Haul

I have been shopping tons lately, it's so bad :')
Here are all the beauty-ish things I've been getting lately - let me know if you want reviews on anything in particular and I will for sure do that for you

2x Passion Fruit & 2x Papaya Shower Gel, and a little poof :)

I was waiting for my friends to go for a Chinese meal outside of The Body Shop and couldn't resist a sneaky peak at the sales. I got all this for £7.50 instead of the usual £17.50 - what a bargain! So heavy to carry around but worth it ;)

I don't think I've mentioned my undying love for The Body Shop - I think the quality is a million times nicer than Lush (I know I'm in a minority here!). Every time I buy something I'm never disappointed but the shops are always dead so I'm worried they'll close down - boo :(.

I also got this quad from GOSH, it makes a lovely smokey eye and I've became obsessed with it for a night out. I really like their products, although I have heard the nail varnish is really naff.

I then got these eyelashes from Girls Aloud as I've heard the Nicole ones are really pretty. You can get these everywhere but I bought mine from BHS for £5.

Oh this reminds me, as amazingly strong as the MAC eyelash glue is, I've had a few complaints. It smells fishy but I thought that went away when it dries.. apparently not! Seriously my boyfriend was all up in my face when he suddenly looked repulsed :/. Finally after smelling all over my paranoid face he told me I had a fishy smell coming from my eyelashes.... I've got to say that's not a favourite smell so it's really put me off using it!

Ah the age old dilemma. Long fluttery but fishy eyelashes, or my usual little stumps?

A boring purchase next: facial pads. Honestly I usually use tissue because the feeling of cotton wool is horrible to me haha, but tissue is really harsh on my skin. I'm going to try and stick with them though!

Next I got a new facial moisturiser. I have a million cleansers and no face moisturiser, I go through it so quick! I went into a cheapo shop where I live and picked this one up called 'Anti Wrinkle Night Cream' from Oil of Aloe for £1.50. I will let you know how this is for my skin.

I went into Superdrug to their everything-a-£1 MUA range. I already have the powder and many lipsticks (check out Christina's post here for swatches etc) which are really good quality, and so hearing amazing things about their eye shadows I had a browse. I find with cheaper brands it's the neutral colours which are naff, whereas their coloured ones can be great. Sadly this was the case here too. I picked up two matte neutrals to use up to the eyebrow bone as I hate it when you can see those veiny things where you haven't put eyeshadow.

I love the quirky names MUA attribute to their products.. I joke. The pink one is called Shade 16, the brown one Shade 17. I was really disappointed with the quality, the pigmentation is non-existent and they're fairly chalky. I much prefer the neutral colours in my sleek palette!

I spent a fortune on this little set from a brand called 'We Live Like This' which I thought would be perfect for travelling.... a whole 60p, I know it's extortionate ;). They feel really secure like they wouldn't spill in my bag and they have a lovely citrus smell so I will definitely be going back and stocking up.
Online on the Superdrug website4 they had the GOSH Bronzing Set from £15 to £9.99 so I couldn't resist. I've just checked online and it's now only £5 :O *cries*. The fake tan is really good and the bronzer makes a fab highlight. I really recommend the set, especially at that discount.

I also wanted a summer pastel colour so I picked out a Barry M polish in 'Mint Green' for £2.99. This has had mixed reviews but I love it - it's so fresh!
Finally, my Dad bought me this, er.. rape alarm (10p at Wilkinsons). Well it might come in handy one day! (but hopefully never ever)

Ta-da! That is everything, hope you enjoyed my bargain hunting lovelies

Review: No7 Lipgloss by Poppy King in Colour Glamour

I went for the colour 'Glamour' as I was after a more subtle everyday colour but as you can see from the video there are colours to suit everyone.

PROS:
- The packaging is really pretty:

  - It is a matte gloss, which I love as I don't really like glitter during the day
 - I love the colour, to me it looks really natural as if I just have on a clear gloss, when really my lips are a lot lighter than this.

- It doesn't dry out my lips which is great especially in this weather lately

CONS:
- It is only available in Boots shops, but you can order it online
- Some may find the price £11 for a lip gloss on the expensive side, but honestly I like this colour so much I think it's worth it, or you can always wait for the much loved £5 off vouchers!

Finally, I'm going to finish off with an outfit of the day ;)
Not the best quality, would you believe I now have a tripod but I still completely fail at taking photos? I've reverted to a typical mirror pose haha.

 Dress: Triple S
Necklace: Tiffany's & Co.
Watch: Asda George

I hope you're all have a lovely, lovely week.
