OTTN

It was my friends 21st yesterday, so I thought it'd be the perfect chance to take some 'Outfit of the night' photos, but typical me left no time whatsoever to get ready :'). Hopefully this will give you an idea of my outfit though, even though we'd been dancing for quite abit so I look worse for wear!

I went for a neutral eye and red lip, and teamed this with a black dress from Matalan. I accessorized with a stretchy belt with diamante on (Primark), a pearl charm bracelet (River Island) and some diamond drop earrings (Warren James). A lot more photos were taken but I haven't got them yet, but I'll post them up here asap to give you a better idea of the outfit

FREEBIES: Graze Box

Heyy girlies,
Graze is a website which delivers a box of food goodies to wherever you are in the UK, and is great if you want a bit of healthiness at your work place :). It's usually £3.?? a box, can't remember the exact price but you can get a box sent to you for free and half price on your next order. The only down side if you have to put in your debit card details to make an account (so they can tempt you to order off them in the future as everythings already typed in cheeky cheeky), but other than that it's all good :). The link is www.graze.com/metro then the free code is just 'freemetro'. I just ordered one to come for Tuesday yayy so I'll let you know how it is!

LUUUX - A scam?

Hello my lovely ladies, aha.
So after a lot of browsing the Internet to find the 'catch' in Luuux, I finally found it.
Basically, unless you're a popular youtuber/blogger etc. the amount of time you'd have to spend on Luuux before you got any prizes is so unreal that it would probably take you quarter of the time to just go out to your normal job and save up.

I noticed that all the gurus on YT promoting the website are also promoting their own blog on there, so every time you're rating/viewing/purchasing through this blog, they rake in the points, so no wonder they're all making vids on it :').

At the end of the day though, if we could all just write a blog and get prizes easily, I'm sure most of us would do the same!

Burlesque Show, Cocktails And Breakfast At Tiffany's

Hello! I feel like I've been away for ages (it's probably only a few days I bet haha) so I thought I'd do a quick update of what I've been up to :)!

Frame from the movie
Firstly, I got Breakfast At Tiffany's out the library. It's amazing, by far one of the best books I've ever read. Usually if I read (and love) a book I end up hating the film because so much is changed, or the director just didn't interpret the characters and events in the same way I did. I watched the film before I read the book though, so even though they were very different I love them both :).

I also went to Warren James the jewellery store, they have some amazing bargains on at the moment so worth a check out if there's one in your area!

Can't beat a bit of Wetherspoons

On Friday I went to the main town where I live for a classy meal with my boyfriend ;). Haha, only joking, Wetherspoons all the way. £2.99 for fish and chips? Yessssss. It was so nice as well! You got a free cup of tea as well woo.

A strawberry Cosmopoliton and two Pashas - nom
We then went next door to a cocktail bar which is usually suuuper expensive, at least I think it is for my poor student status (drinks are like £5.95) but they have 8 different drinks on for £2, 5-7pm. There was a man playing piano and singing who was amazing :). The only thing that was bad about the place was a group of charvey men who came in. You know the type; already mortal drunk, loud, aggressive, spurring racism at the staff and generally insulting them. One was shouting and swearing he didn't want champagne in a cocktail he ordered off the champagne section of the menu... oh dear... :')
Yummy cakes they were serving :)

Anyhoo, we caught a train into another town nearby to meet some friends in a local pub to see a burlesque show. It was good fun; it was a nice atmosphere rather than leery, all the girls were different ages and sizes which was really nice to see rather than the typical stick thin boob job dancer (which is fine too, but it's still better to see a bit of a range), and best of all they sold white chocolate crispy cakes :). We ended up staying out and getting a taxi back, but by the end of the night I could barely keep my eyes open off all those cocktails beforehand haha.

The next day was a friends birthday party, she was going out for a meal at dinner time, so with 5 hours of sleep and a hangover I dragged my butt out of bed and got the bus back into town.
I.Was.Suffering. Oh my lord.
We had a Chinese buffet which was really nice, then we headed to a coffee shop and finally to some vintage shops. I couldn't find anything that caught my eye, other than a brown fake fur coat, but it was literally the exact same as a one I just bought from Warehouse, so I put it back haha. I came home for about 6pm and went straight to bed (life and soul of the party that I am :/) and then Steven came round at 8pm where I went back to his and we watched a film before I went back to sleep again.

The great north run was on today (I live half a street away from the track right near the finish line) so I couldn't really travel anywhere, instead I had the laziest time ever walking Joop and Mollypops at the beach with Steven.

Phew, that was quite long. If you read all of that thank you!

LUUUX

Hiya girlies,
So on my little YT subscriptions box I've noticed a lot of girls making videos about amazing products they've been sent (designer handbags, Ipads etc.) just for blogging!? This seems wayyyyy too good to be true. I'm guessing it's going to be based on the equivalent of subscribers they you have to your account or something like that, so you have to be uber popular already on some sort of site such as YT or blogger, meaning it's totally unobtainable to the average girl out there. Does anyone have any experience of this? I'm going to make an account and let you know what happens :S although I'm not holding out much hope haha

Autumn FOTD

Hi guys :), so I thought I'd do a quick face of the day to show you the makeup I'm planning to wear throughout the A/W season. In summer I usually keep everything really simple and carefree; the tiniest amount of foundation and powder, pink cheeks & lips, and finally a really bare eye; just cream coloured eyeshadow and mascara (no eyeliner). A lot of the time I didn't even use mascara as I've just recently dyed my eyelashes black.

Moving onto the the colder seasons though (bluerrggh) I always change my everyday makeup. First of all, I use taupe's, dark browns and silvers on my eyes, as well as dark eyeliner and lashings of mascara, rather than a little bit of light coloured shadow. I also swap pink cheeks and lips for nudes to counteract the darker eyes, and use a light layer of foundation all over the skin for a more porcelain-like finish.

I think the sun really brightens up the complexion in summer so you don't really need that extra coverage. Also, on those bright hot days a full face of makeup is likely to just melt off anyway, so minimal makeup is all that is needed. However, when the sun creeps away (it already has in England) a more polished look appears better to keep up a healthy appearance.

Do you change your makeup according to the season? If you do, let me know in the comments below what your favourite looks are for A/W :)

9 Random Facts

A tag from Christina :) - thanks! I tag:
Sarah
Jaz
Lily
Kei Kei
and Robyn
if you fancy it.
So here we go :)

1) I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend (Steven) for 4 years 5 months. People always comment how long that is but it honestly feels like we've only been going out a little while.
2) I'm incredibly organised when it comes to arranging events/homework/finances. but my room is a disgusting mess literally all of the time - it's so bad I actually face the wall to use the computer hahahaha. The whole floor is constantly covered in clothes, jewellery, file work and shoes.

3) My biggest pet peeve has to be people eating grossly. I have a massive list of things I don't like (yep I'm obsessed) such as lip smacking, people opening their mouth whilst chewing, making noises (slurping and swallowing food whole rather than chewing it down...urgh), letting food fall out of their mouths because they've put too much in, eating like they haven't eaten in about 500 days....etc etc

4) I worry about everything and anything -even the word test is enough to make me feel sick haha

5) I'm at University studying English and History

6) I'm only 20 but already sick of clubbing. I would much rather go out for a meal and have a million cocktails afterward in a bar with my friends.

7) I love cocktails. My favourites are a Pasha, Midori sours and a strawberry Daiquiri

8) I adore animals, especially cats and dogs. Here are my favourite babies, Smudge (my cat)

My dog Molly (I can't be accounted for her tragically delusional taste in football teams)

HAUL: A/W Finds In Primark + Update

Heyyy guys, so about two day ago I went with two of my friends, Becca and Jo, to town for a bit of shopping. Here's what I picked up:

I got these black flat boots from Primark to keep my feet all toasty in the colder months for only £10.

I then got the socks (above). Neutral colours are supposed to be really in this season, as well as cute knee highs poking over the top of your boots, so these cream ones with an adorable bow for £1.50 were perfect.

I also got some navy military style ones (which I've already wore) as well :)

Also from Primark, to keep in with the neutral theme I picked up this really cute cream scarf with gold threading throughout the material, for only £2.50

It's thick without being over bearing like other chunky scarves, so I can easily throw it over a jumper when I'm in Uni.

Finally, I picked up this 'smudging eyeliner' brush from No7 as I had a £5 off voucher which needed using up. It's normally £6.50 but I got it for £1.50 yayy :). I'll be doing a review on the brushes I've got lately for sure.

After a lot more shopping we headed over to Wetherspoons for some cheap afternoon cocktails which was really nice. I had to leave at about 5pm though as I was going out on the night with Steven. He took me to the pics where we seen Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

It's a film based on a comic which is based on a game (what a mouth full). It was quite tongue in cheek and cheesy at times, for example at one point in the movie Scott is in a battle of the bands, where the music from his guitar turns into an animal which fights the music (dragon) from the other band. But it was still fun and made me laugh quite a bit. I would give it 7/10, but Steven was harsh and gave it 2 :').

Wednesday was fairly uninteresting, I worked packing prospectuses for 5 hours and then had a massive walk with Molly pops to make up for being cooped up indoors for so long.

Thursday I had a driving lesson which went well, then I met up with Bex and Jo where we went to the park. It started to get cold so after half an hour we headed over to a swanky cocktail bar which is usually £6 for a cocktail, but they had a special on 5-7pm where certain drinks were only £2 :). They were amazing, although one was made of a range of pure spirits so running for the last bus home (they stop at 6.15pm urggggh) I managed to break my shoe hahaha.

I was meeting a friend in the town local to me as soon as I got off the bus, so I quickly stopped off for some chips from Mcdonalds to sober me up, then we indulged in a cookie dough cheesecake at a pub followed by a bottle of wine and a jug of cocktail :'). I then met up with my boyfriend who slept over and today I've just had a nice relaxing time writing blogs and catching up on YT. I was going to go out again tonight but I've spent tons on meals and drinking lately :( - I can't wait for my student loan to come through at the end of the month!

Fashion Tag

Thanks for the tag Christina! Also for anyone reading apologies over the font, it went crazy and I can't fix it haha :')

What is your favourite fashion accessory?

Definitely jewellery, for me it can be the difference between a glamorous and interesting outfit and something that looks boring/frumpy. It's the easiest way to update your outfit and it's a perfect way to follow trends without looking like a victim. I have a silhouette with little hangers where I keep all my necklaces, a cute little wired stand for all my bracelets and I keep all my earrings and rings in here:

Chocolate boxes are fab for keeping jewellery separate as they already come with spaces for each set, stopping them getting tangled together, lost or broken.
Who's your fashion role model? (In real life and YouTube/Blogging)

The 50's really inspires me; the fashion is so glamorous. Clothes which showcase the curves of a woman whilst still looking feminine and not trashy at all are my idea of fashion heaven. Lots of clothes now aren't really made for anything other than showcasing skinny girls (example: skinny jeans and crop tops which make you look awful if you have even a hint of fat).

In particularly I love Marilyn Monroe, I think she's really sexy without being overt.

I also love Audrey Hepburn, her style is a lot more understated, but even in this scene from Breakfast and Tiffany's she still manages look completely star-like. What do you always carry with you?
In my bag I always carry my mobile, makeup and money.

What would you describe your style as?
Feminine, flamboyant, fitted and comfortable.

Favourite: jeans, sunglasses or heels?
Definitely heels, nothing makes you feel more sexy! I have about 50 pairs but my favourite are nudes at the moment.
What inspired you to blog about fashion?
I love fashion and writing so it made sense to put the two together. I say that, but honestly my blog has been consumed with the 30 day challenge so far, so it hasn't been very fashion based at all :/.

What is your favourite fashion store/shop?
River Island - I love everything in there!

What is your favourite fabric in clothing?
Faux fur - so comfy and luxurious feeling.

Who is your favourite designer?
I don't follow any designers closely that would torture me too much with things I can never afford :'). I do love Rachel Zoe though, the way she puts an outfit together is amazing and I love her style.

Who/what inspires you?

City fashion, and I also love Nicole Ritchie's style (she's styled by Rachel Zoe, so makes sense haha)
What would you choose to do - buy something in high quality or make it yourself if you could?
It'd be fab to be able to design your own clothes to fit your body perfectly, but so time consuming! So for that reason I'll say buy something high quality.

"Polished in 2 mins" The Lazy Girl Makeup Tutorial

This is a simple minimalistic look which takes literally only 2 minutes - perfect for every lazy girl who'd rather spend time in bed but would rather not look like shit for the rest of the day because of it ;). I do this look every time I have to get ready on short notice (joys of having a boyfriend who's idea of getting ready is putting some pants on) or I just fancy a fresh faced look.
WHAT TO DO:
* Start by putting a hydrating concealer a shade lighter than your skin tone under your eyes to counteract those purple bags.
* Next, apply foundation only on the parts of the skin which need it to avoid looking mask like and to save time. For me that was my chin and nose which has a lot of big pores.
* If you have any particular nasty lurkers, cover them with a concealer in the exact shade as your normal skin tone (not the lighter one used for under the eyes - this will only draw attention).
* Use a huge kabuki brush to set your foundation with powder.
* Apply blusher on the apples of your cheeks to avoid looking like a corpse
* Stick to neutral colours so mistakes made are a lot less obvious. A cream colour in a matte is appropriate for any occasion - use up to the brow bone. Next, get a light brown and apply it on the outer half of the eye lid only.
* Don't bother with eyeliner when you're in a rush - it'll take too much time and mistakes you make will be obvious because of the dark shade.
*Apply mascara to open up those peepers.
* Put on any lipgloss of your choice.
TA DA!!
P.S Check out those sexy PJ's ;') ahahaha

Eylure Dylash Tint Before And After

I tinted my eyelashes with the Eylure kit which I mentioned in this post here. These are the results! :)

WARNING: LOTS OF V. UNFLATTERING PHOTOS TO FOLLOW

Eyelashes before:
Eyelashes after, a lot blacker:

Eyelashes before:Eyelashes after:
I did a patch test and had no reaction, but when I put this on my eyelashes they were so watery and honestly it was quite painful. I sat it out though (since I knew I wasn't allergic) and am quite pleased with the results.
I only used a little bit of the formula so it should last quite a bit as well which is good. The colour lasts a really long time but the only downside is if you have quick growing lashes you can immediately notice the blonde roots, which happened after about a week for me. You could just keep touching it up though weekly :)

If you have any questions or anything like that please let me know!

Dorothy Perkins, Primark, Superdrug and Boots Haul

A quick haul on some adorable things I've found lately in the high street :).

These earrings are £2 in Primark - bargain! They're so beautiful and the detailing on them is fab for the price.

I also picked up this Eylure eyelash tint set for £7.99 in Boots. My eyelashes are super blonde so I can't wait to try this out. I'll be taking photos tomorrow of befores and afters so look out for them :). If you buy things now as well you get a £5 voucher to spend on No7 or Ruby and Millie so I'll be using that on Tuesday.
(Excuse my badly damaged nails).
This Owl ring looks so much better on but I couldn't get it to photo right. I picked this up from Dorothy Perkins for £9.
I've been on the look out for some nice quality brushes and was going to order off Elf, but as I weas out I thought I'd quickly check out Superdrug. They had a range of brushes from the brand QVS which I've never heard of, so I wasn't sure what to expect but for £2.50 I was willing to take a chance. They hairs are sturdy yet very soft and it gives amazing control - I love it!

It comes in a packet like that ^ in case you wanted to find it in store.

Finally I got this gorgeous bow necklace with a little pearl for £1.50 - another amazing bargain from Primark! Costume jewellery never lasts (at least for me) but at prices like that it doesn't really matter too much :).
