<3 All the things I'm loving this month:
Going au natural when it comes to my hair. A messy "just rolled out of bed" style is a trend I've been taking full advantage of.
Discovering some great makeup finds:
1) Firstly, the "Time Delay Skin Treatments: Sunshine Gradual Tan SPF 15 Daily Facial Moisturiser"... Phew!
I think this is the perfect moisturiser for the winter weather: it's luxurious feeling on the skin and very moisturising, yet it leaves no grease on my face whatsoever.
The only down side to this product is that the 'gradual tan' is non-existent so you'd have to use something else if you wanted an all year round glow. £4.99
2) "MUA: Pressed Powder", not such an epic title as the above, but an epic product haha.
I had very low expectations of this product, as it looked (and was) so cheap.
Still though, for a pound I thought 'why not?'
My favourite powder before was by Sally Hansen, but after buying this I don't think it can compete.
(Yep I really thought I would never, ever say that! Sorry Sally Hansen for cheating on you, I hope you can forgive me in time).
This product is just as good at keeping my makeup set as my previous powder, but it's a lot cheaper. Also it keeps my shine at bay without being drying (like my other one) which is a serious plus.
I cannot recommend this enough. There isn't much colour choice though, so it might not be suitable for everyone unfortunately :(.
3) Neutrals: Especially this duo from "Markwins International".
4) "I-care Eye Makeup Remover Pads" are the best makeup removers I've ever used.
They're really worth a try and they're cheap :). I got 60 pads for £1 (!)
I live in my fur coat :) as can be seen here, here, here, & here.. I have other faux furs but I just find this goes with everything aha.
Splurging on jewellery that will last forever.
I love costume jewellery so much; it's affordable and really adds something interesting to an outfit.
Still, it has killed me spending £20 on a piece of jewellery I wear once and then is ruined from discolouration due to being wet off washing hands/rain/spraying perfume etc.
To hopefully avoid this with my new purchases, I've turned to buying real silver & gold.
I bought this necklace on eBay for £32 - check out the sparkle on that lovely opal :).
So pretty :). The cheapest I seen this in shops was £80 and they weren't as nice as this, so I feel like it's a great place to turn if you want a bargain. Be careful about fakes though as I've seen some interesting wordings which suggest it's real gold/silver when really it's not :S.
And here's my silver onyx ring which I also got from eBay for £12 (again, cheapest I seen this in the shops was £50). I'm really pleased with both but I'm still not going to be using ebay for a while.
I started off trying to sell lots of items, some of which sold for 12p so that I spent more posting them than I actually received >.< haha. Not only that, but I keep on spending my money I've earned on things such as the above so I'm still in the minuses.
And finally, Millie, Durham and Wine Dates
She's an evil monster of destruction, but when she's settled down I swear there is nothing more cute in the entire world to me.
I know it looks like I have an inhuman grip on her, but I really don't haha. If she's frightened in any way she puts her tail between her legs and cries like a little rat so I would soon find out, feel awful and never, ever pick her up again.
I also really enjoyed my trip to Durham this month - what a beautiful city.
Lastly, since the weather has been bad me and my friends have been enjoying cosy nights in eating crap and drinking lots of wine :).
Em xx
